Bone, Maple & Soapstone

8" x 2" x 2" ea.

2015

Influenced by the concepts of life, death and repurposing found items, these 3 carvings are a study of the unique properties and characteristics of various materials and the replication and adaption of those materials into similar form.

The original bone, likely an Opossum leg bone, was found in the woods, cut into 3 sections and used as models to replicate the remaining sections in Maple and Soapstone.
